NYA is delighted to announce that Sculpt has been award the Advanced Level NYA Quality Mark.  The NYA Quality Mark recognises high quality youth work through benchmarked standards and indicators based on the National Occupational Standards.  The Award is a celebration and acknowledgment of how organisations demonstrate they achieve high standards of quality assessed against each indicator, and an opportunity to be externally validated for the excellent services to young people organisations provide using youth work methodology. The process of undertaking Quality Mark Award assessment is reflective and developmental and focusses on achieving better outcomes for young people by reviewing and refining youth work practice.

Laura Keegan, Quality Practice Manager at NYA commented,

“It has been a great experience to award Sculpt with Advanced Level Quality Mark.  Sculpt are a dynamic organisation providing excellent opportunities for young people through a variety of projects and initiatives.  Their participatory values provide a fantastic basis to deliver their work from and observing first hand how they inspire young people and nurture their ambitions was very rewarding.  I look forward to seeing how this organisation continues to grow and develop.”

Going through the Quality Mark process with the National Youth Agency has been extremely beneficial for Sculpt. It has helped us to appreciate what we are already doing well, and helped us reflect on where we can improve our skills and processes so that we can continue providing an excellent experience for young people.

We are delighted to be awarded the Advanced Level award, which endorses our credibility as an organisation that puts young people at its heart, exists to empower them to shape their future.” Congratulations to Sculpt for achieving this prestigious award and for demonstrating such high-quality youth work.
