Following the success of the Bursary Fund launched by the NYA in November 2019, which offered 450 youth work training bursaries (Levels 2 & 3), the NYA is delighted to announce that an additional 220 bursaries are now available.

The bursaries will widen access and secure youth work training for Levels 2 & 3.  NYA has partnered with Regional Youth Work Units; Youth Focus NE, Youth Focus NW, Youth Focus West Midlands, Youth Focus SW, RYWU Yorkshire and Humberside and Partnership for Young London, in the design and delivery of the additional bursaries.

NYA Chief Executive Leigh Middleton said:

NYA is delighted to open additional funding for youth work training.  Working with our fantastic partners in the Regional Youth Work Units we are now able to invest in more people and grow the youth workforce, a critical step to begin rebuilding youth services across the country.  The additional bursaries will enable more individuals to access a much-needed qualification and will help the next generation of youth workers to continue transforming young people’s lives.
