The National Youth Agency is delighted to announce the launch of a new digital hub, amplifi, specifically designed by young people, for young people. amplifi will help young people get the knowledge, skills and experience they need to turbo-charge forward to bright futures in learning and work.  amplifi is a unique offering as it is underpinned by youth work values, participative and relational in approach, to develop skills and protective factors that will support young people in a significant transition in their lives.

amplifi has a rich history of helping young people to succeed, as it was formerly GoThinkBig (GTB). GTB was driven by the commitment and funding of O2, with NYA as the charity delivery partner. To power a new future for a successor to GTB, with a fresh approach to building on the legacy of something impactful, O2 gifted the online digital hub to the National Youth Agency to continue to support young people.

Abbee McLatchie, Director of Youth Work at NYA commented,

“Covid-19 has disproportionately impacted on young people, including their education, employment, mental health and exploitation.  It is crucial that we provide a space for young people to get the support, guidance and help they so desperately need.  amplifi has been designed by young people, for young people, putting their needs at the centre of everything we do.  We are excited to launch amplifi and hope to enable all young people to reach their full potential and thrive.”

Tracey Herald, Head of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability at Virgin Media O2, said:

“We’re incredibly proud of our track record in democratising access to work experience and giving young people the opportunity to pursue their career ambitions through Go Think Big. We’re also delighted support the evolution of this programme and its relaunch as ‘amplifi’ – a new programme to support young people to achieve their career goals. Our long-term strategic partner, National Youth Agency, is ideally placed to help young people transition to the world of work and we’re excited to see how the programme develops in the months and years ahead.”

We are passionate to help young people turn up their skill set and be ready for life’s next steps.  Find out more on our new website, including our exciting summer programme: https://amplifi.org.uk/
