NYA is delighted to be a finalist for the Recruitment and Professional Development award at the Children & Young People Now Awards 2020, with the awards ceremony and winners being announced on 4th March 2021.

Our submission for the CYPN Awards focused on our Youth Worker Bursary Fund, granted from DCMS, which is delivered in partnership with Regional Youth Work Units, supporting people who would otherwise not be able to access funded qualifications, enabling them to undertake Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Youth Work Practice.   The Youth Worker Bursary Fund enables voluntary organisations who have limited time and funds to increase the expertise and talents of their workers, creating more quality, safe and effective practice with young people and supporting the sustainability of a strong workforce.

We work in partnership with the network of Regional Youth Work Units to ensure the bursaries benefit appropriate learners, working with providers to troubleshoot any challenges and enhance the quality of the learning experience.  A special thank you to the Regional Youth Work Units:
