The National Youth Agency are pleased to be one of four organisations to be commissioned by Walsall For All to run a range of empowering events and sessions aimed at creating integrated and inclusive communities.

The NYA project, Your Voice Now, is focused on Youth Voices and Youth Ambassadors and will deliver 12 taster sessions aimed at starting the conversation around building bridges and integration within the Walsall community.

The project will also deliver four borough-based youth voice events which will explore cultural awareness alongside young people. From these events, 26 Youth Ambassadors will be recruited who will receive training and be given a social action project budget which they will use to deliver prejudice busting projects and events in their local areas.

NYA Programme Devliery Manager, Jodie Lees, said ‘We are excited to be part of the cohort of partners who are delivering work within Walsall for All. Creating strong and integrated communities is vital in ensuring young people feel safe, valued and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Your Voice Now will work with over 500 young people ensuring that their voice is heard throughout the programme and creating a lasting legacy for Walsall and its communities’

Also commissioned were The Faith and Belief Forum, who were awarded the Community Dialogue project, Black Country Innovate who were awarded the Hate Crime and Tension Monitoring Review and Nash Dom CIC who were awarded the Welcome Packs project.
