Young men and suicide

Suicide is three times as common in men than women and the number of suicides among young men have increased dramatically in recent years. Suicide and undetermined injury accounts for almost 20% of all deaths among young men between the ages of 15 and 24 in the UK. It is the second most common cause of death; road traffic accidents is the highest.

CALM exists to help you deal with the problems you are facing - no matter what's troubling you.  The helpline is targeted at young men aged 15-35, though anyone can call.

Papyrus (Prevention of Suicides)

PAPYRUS is a national charity working in suicide prevention. Involved in raising awareness, research and consultation. See also: YoungPAPYRUS which operates to promote positive mental health in colleges and universities.
