Summary

Rainbows Children's Hospice, based in Loughborough, Leicestershire is the children's hospice for the East Midlands.

Rainbows, a purpose-built children's hospice, opened its doors in 1994. Rainbows are dedicated to meeting the needs of the children and young people from the East Midlands who come to the hospice. These children and young people are all affected by life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Rainbows offer specialist respite stays, symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care for children and young people as well as support for the whole family. Care is provided by a professional team of highly respected nurses, carers and therapists together with a large support team, under the direction of a team of doctors providing specialist paediatric, palliative care for children in the hospice and in the community.

At Rainbows the emphasis is on enriching life and making each minute of each short life count.
Each child is treated as an individual and helped by the skilled, experienced team to get the most from life and enjoy it to the full.
