Summary
CWDC has worked in close partnership with NYA, Investing in Children and Practical Participation to embed CWDC’s vision and strategy for participation. They have provided consultancy for key staff who have made participation a reality in their work and set up awareness raising sessions for all staff. Participation Champions for each team have been identified and a toolkit launched which is proving successful in supporting staff to apply their knowledge and skills. CWDC is using The Hear by Right standards framework to identify the priorities for participation, its next steps for action and the accountable leads and action groups for the coming year.
For more information on the process the CWDC took, the challenges they faced, the advice they have for others and the things they have learnt from the Hear by Right process, their Case study story is available here.
