Young Journalists Urged to Enter North West Media Awards
Young people in the North West are being urged to enter a new award category in the O2 Media Awards.
The Think Big Award will celebrate the achievements of young people who are using innovative methods to communicate with each other and their communities.
The new category is part of the O2 2010 North West Media Awards, which were originally set up to champion the work of print and broadcast journalists working in Cheshire and Merseyside. Now, the awards have expanded across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and into Yorkshire and the Humber, and have developed to give young people the chance to showcase their work.
Youth categories include:
- Young Journalist of the Year (weekly newspapers)
- Young Journalist of the Year (daily newspapers and broadcast media)
- Think Big Media Award
The deadline for entries is 4 October 2010.
