Coalition Government under pressure to act on UN children's rights recommendations

The Children’s Rights Alliance for England today (19 November 2010) launches its State of children’s rights in England report. This is the first independent assessment of the coalition Government’s record on children's human rights.
An independent assessment of the coalition Government's record on children's human rights warns of a catalogue of violations, yet Ministers have so far been silent on their plans for acting on 100+ recommendations made by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child in 2008.
