Young people 'ignorant' of sexual health

More than a quarter (25.1%) wrongly believe that sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can be transmitted through kissing, and many were also worryingly relaxed about their sexual health, with with almost eight out of 10 (79.8%) believing they are at little or no risk of contracting STIs. However, these findings are not confined to young Britons alone - the survey found a generally high degree of ignorance about STIs right across Europe.
