Children tell us having rights means having responsibilities

The survey of almost 2,000 chidlren and young people living away from home also expressed the view that having rights comes with responsibilities. These included: taking responsibility for one’s own actions, safety, health and hygiene; looking after oneself; making use of education; using the right to have a say by actually giving their opinions; taking responsibility for looking after other people; and taking responsibility for the wider environment.
