Catalyst Support and Challenge Groups
The National Youth Agency, through its work with the Catalyst consortium, has established two Support and Challenge Groups to act as independent advisors to the work being undertaken.
The role of the representatives on both the Workforce Strand Support and Challenge Group and the Institute of Youth Work Support and Challenge Group is to inform strategic and project plans, ensuring that the needs and priorities of the youth sector are taken into account.
The Groups comprise of individuals, individuals as representatives of specific organisations and groups, and nominated representatives of organisation and groups. There is a mix of employer, employees and officer representatives, and includes those engaged in both statutory and voluntary sector youth provision. The Groups include representatives who, as far as possible, represent the range of providers and delivery organisations within the youth sector.
Membership of Groups is guided by comprehensive terms of reference, which details the Groups’ constitution, purpose, membership, authority, meeting arrangements, reporting, decision making and overall duties.
