NYA reviews its support services to remain competitive

11 Aug 2008
The NYA is undergoing a review of its support services. Fiona Blacke, Chief Executive, said 'We want to make sure we remain efficient and competitive.

There is a great demand for our services from central and local government, as well as the third sector, and we need to make sure that we continue to provide value for money in an increasingly competitive arena.' Detailed negotiations are taking place with staff involved and five in events and media services are currently at risk of redundancy. Discussions are also taking place with external suppliers about the possibility of out-sourcing HR, finance and facilities functions and final decisions will be made by the Executive Board in late August.

The NYA has approximately 85 staff in five directorates: programmes, resources, business development, communications and policy, information and research. Other independent organisations based at The NYA's headquarters in Leicester and in London are not affected by the review.
