Summary: Single storey neighbourhood-based centre with arts, music and ICT provision, plus outdoors multi-purpose sports area.

Capital costs: A total of £1,009,909 for building and equipping the new centre, plus £500,000 for improved outdoor sports facilities.

Revenue costs: currently £160,000 p.a., but are expected to rise to £180,000 to £200,000.

Staffing: four full-time staff, three-part-time youth workers and a dozen regular volunteers.

  • Strong community involvement – the original club was set up by local residents, and there is a strong sense of ownership among young people and their families.
  • Commitment to raising aspirations of local young people through providing access to high quality IT and media facilities and high quality sports facilities.
