Parents to text for help with young people

Parents of badly behaved young people will be given advice on how to deal with them by text message as part of a £44 million Government project.

Mothers and fathers who are struggling to control their children will also be offered support through websites and telephone hotlines. The three-year Parent Know How scheme is aimed particularly at fathers who the Government believes want more information about how to bring up their children and are more likely to use it if it is available through websites, text messaging services and telephone hotlines.
