The list of Award Organisations within the Network is constantly being updated. We represent most of the major Award Organisations that accredit young people's achievements and learning in non-formal settings.

The Network, convened by The National Youth Agency, includes representatives of:

  • AQA: The AQA Unit Award Scheme is an established means of formally recognising achievement in short programmes of work or activity. There is no limit to the range of work or activities which may be accredited or to the age or ability of the students who may be involved.
  • ASDAN: stands for Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network, an educational charity.
  • Chrysalis Club 2000: The “U” Choose Programme developed by Chrysalis Club 2000 educational charity.
  • Connect Youth: OCN Accreditation for Youth Exchanges and Group Initiatives (Level 1 and 2).
  • Clubs for Young People: KEYSTONE Award Scheme - The scheme has been developed to provide a very flexible approach to enable the accreditation of the skills, competencies and qualities acquired and demonstrated by Young People in Clubs and Projects affiliated to the Clubs for Young People.
  • The Duke of Edinburgh's Award: The Award is a programme of activities which will help young people to develop personally and socially.
  • Fairbridge: Fairbridge offers awards on two levels. All young people who access the programme receive attendance-based Fairbridge certificates. In addition teams are offering young people the opportunity to gain accreditation through externally administered awards including ASDAN, City and Guilds, OCN, Youth Achievement Awards.
  • Getting Connected: Getting Connected provides a curriculum framework for social inclusion for young adult learners aged 14-25.
  • Girlguiding UK: Girlguiding UK enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society whether this be at home, at school, in the workforce or elsewhere. We achieve this through a programme that challenges, builds self respect and self confidence, at the same time encouraging girls to think for themselves and make their own decisions.

  • Sports Leaders UK: (the new operating name of the British Sports Trust).
  • UK Youth: The Youth Achievement Awards were launched in 1997 by UK Youth. They are now widely available throughout the UK and in parts of Europe, involving over 1,000 youth groups every year.The Youth Achievement Awards is the only award scheme for young people that starts with young people’s interests and which involves peer assessment.
