'Harass a hoodie' – Essex police take surveillance to the streets

The Guardian reports on a day spent with Essex police accompanying forward intelligence teams (FITs) as part of a Operation Leopard, a surveillance operation designed to combat anti-social behaviour.

Pioneered by officers in Essex, it deploys FITs – units trained to gather evidence by filiming individuals – in areas suffering from crime.  Hear the views of teenagers who were filmed here >>
