Young workers not safety aware

Research by the British Safety Council (BSC) has found that many young workers in their first job or on work experience are at risk of injury because of inadequate training.
The research found 58 per cent of young workers had no idea about safety in the workplace. Some 66 under-19s have been killed at work during the last 10 years. The BSC is urging the government to make workplace safety awareness part of the national curriculum. Read more>>
