Participation Works is a consortium which is made up of six national children's and young people's charities. They have collectively developed a comprehensive programme of activity and resources on participation which include, workshops, training sessions and supportive practitioner networks, designed to support organisations and practitioners who work with children and young people between the ages of 10-25 years old.
The National Youth Agency is a key member of Participation Works. Other members of the consortium include:
- British Youth Council;
- Children's Rights Alliance for England;
- National Children's Bureau;
- National Council for Voluntary Youth Services; and
- Save the Children England
Participation Works has an Online Gateway to the world of children and young people's participation. It provides a single access point to comprehensive information on policy, practice, networks, training and innovative ideas.
As part of Participation Works' offer to Voluntary, Community and other Third Sector organisations, The National Youth Agency has produced the Participation Works Hear by Right Self-Assessment Tool and is hosting a series of Hear by Right participation workshops in your area.
