The NYA Quality Mark: Towards better services for young people

NYA Quality Mark

The NYA Quality Mark is primarily a self-assessment tool, which can be used by any organisation as a means to quality improvement. There was a demand from those involved in its development for a National Award for those organisations, which reach the required standard. Having worked through the self-assessment, organisations will be eligible for the National Award if they have gained an Established or Advanced score in each of the 33 indicators of the 11 standards, therefore achieving the standard.

Organisations can seek accreditation by registering for the National Award and submitting their self-assessment to be checked at The National Youth Agency and assigned to a Quality Mark Consultant who will act as Assessor in the accreditation process. The Quality Standards Committee will make the final decision on granting a National Award.
