Register for the National Award

To be eligible for the National Award organisations need to have achieved an 'Established' score in all 33 indicators of the 11 standards on their self-assessment.

Contact Lyndsay White to register for the National Award, to obtain a copy of the Guidelines for the National Award and to confirm the time-scale involved in the process. Organisations need to provide four copies of their completed self-assessment framework and supplementary evidence. This can be provided on CD or as hard copies. Please note that if you are providing your submission on CD we require one copy of the entire submission on paper.

National Award projected costs

The costs below have been put together with an estimation of Consultant time. This will depend on a number of circumstances, which include diversity of locations, content, efficiency and organisation of portfolio etc. The first twelve months enabled a more specific costing strategy to be finalised based on actual experience.

The National Award, once achieved, will be valid for three years.

The next deadline date for submitting your self-assessment for the National Award is 12th February 2009.

The table below shows the timetable for the National Award Assessment Process from February 2008 to December 2009. Following an assessment visit a report would be produced for The NYA which would go before the Quality Standards Committee. The Committee will make a decision about whether or not to grant an award based on the report and that decision would be ratified by The NYA Executive Board. Organisations interested in applying for the National Award should note the submission deadlines for their self-assessment.
