Parents 'naïve' about drug use by children

A survey of parents by drug charity Addaction has revealed that almost all parents are convinced that their children have never taken drugs, in contrast to NHS statistics which state that roughly a quarter of young people aged 11 to 15 admit to having taken drugs.

The survey indicated that young people have a far better idea of their parents' drug taking history than vice versa - one in five young people said their parents had experimented with drugs in the past and ten per cent said their parents still take drugs.  Read more>>
