Policy

Influencing central and local government policy, supporting campaigns and working with other influential bodies, are key parts of The National Youth Agency's work.

We are determined that policy affecting young people is built on evidence, reflects their views and will improve opportunities for them.

The policy work areas for The NYA fall under four broad areas:

  • the infrastructure of services for young people;
  • the unique contribution of youth work;
  • the lives and experiences of young people; and
  • public policy and its impact on young people.

From this page you can find out more about NYA Policy Positions, the wider Policy Environment, current Consultations and our Policy Archive.
