Tell about your experience of being NEET
I felt as though I had no one to give me a push in the right direction as I am a single mum and classed as NEET was hard and I received help and support.
How did you get involved in the Engagement Network project?
I heard about the programme through a Key Worker Emma, I was already joining a 12 week programme.
How has it been? Has being involved in the project helped you? If so how?
I feel it has really had a good impact as it has made me confident, raised my self-esteem and made me realise I wanted to be a youth worker.
Tell us where you’re at now… what are you up to and what would you like to do in the future – what are your aims and ambitions?
I have finished a 34 week E2E course and have an interview at Bradford College to do a 2 year course in public services.
What would you like your group to achieve in your area?
To help decrease the number of young people who are NEET in Bradford and to continue to meet key decision makers.
